Amanda Hammock has, in a way, come home.
The Bryson City, NC, native, who spent more than nine years at Etowah, TN, Utilities, joined TVPPA’s Chattanooga, TN-based staff May 7 as manager of Accounting and Finance.
Hammock, who graduated magna cum laude from Cleveland, TN’s Lee University in 2002, started with Etowah Utilities in 2003. She took over as financial superintendent for the City of Etowah in 2013 and spent the past five years with the Swain Co., NC, school system and a health-services accounting management position in Cleveland.
“Amanda’s an excellent fit for us,” said TVPPA Executive Vice President Betsey Kirk McCall. “Besides the fact that her skills are exceptional, Amanda knows public power. She knows who our members are and what they’re about.”
