The 2018 Distribution Marketplace Forum is set for April 2-4 in Murfreesboro, TN, with TVPPA Executive Vice President Danette Scudder and TVA Senior Vice President Jay Stowe are set to co-emcee the three-day event at the Embassy Suites.

The 2018 DMF agenda includes three pre-con workshops on April 2, one of which features presenters including Glasgow, KY, EPB Superintendent Billy Ray, Benton Co., TN, ES General Manager Raymond Barnes and Dan Rodamaker, president/CEO at Gibson EMC, Trenton, TN, discussing retail rates in a Distributed Energy Resources (DER) setting.

TVPPA Chairman Greg Williams of Appalachian EC, New Market, TN, and Huntsville, AL, Utilities President/CEO Wes Kelley are among the presenters scheduled for a roundtable discussion that’s set to open the main agenda. A panel discussion on what local power companies are doing with aspects of distribution automation includes TVPPA-member CEOs Mike Browder (Bristol, TN, ES), and Darrell Gillespie (Dickson, TN, ES).

A session called The Customer’s Voice will put commercial/industrial customers front and center; Jeneen Horton of Toyota, Black & Decker’s Don Tucker and Steve Chriss of Walmart are scheduled for a panel to be moderated by TVA’s Dan Pratt.

TVPPA’s top leaders – Chairman Williams and President/CEO Doug Peters – are set for a strategic-planning panel that’s also scheduled to include TVA’s Pratt and Stowe.
