Judy Hughes is going home – sort of.
Hughes, TVPPA’s Accounting and Administrative Services manager for the past decade, has announced plans to return in January to North Georgia EMC. She worked at the Dalton, GA-based cooperative for five years prior to joining TVPPA in January 2008.
A Chatsworth, GA, native, Hughes holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Kennesaw State University. She launched her career at Beaulieu, a North Georgia-based flooring manufacturer.
“Handling the accounting for three companies the size of TVPPA, Seven States [Power Corp.] and DIC [Distributors Insurance Co.] can be – and has been – overwhelming at times, but Judy has done that work with great skill and a marvelous attitude for the past 10 years,” said TVPPA President/CEO Doug Peters.
“And wherever she’s gone throughout the Valley, she’s represented our staff and Association with professionalism and class. We appreciate all she’s done for and meant to us, and we wish her well,” Peters said.
