P.D. Mynatt, a veteran of more than 27 years at Murfreesboro, TN, ED, has been named the utility’s general manager.
The Murfreesboro ED Board of Directors tapped Mynatt in January to succeed the departed Steve Sax on an interim basis. The utility’s directors removed the ‘interim’ tag in a March 23 meeting.
Murfreesboro ED’s longtime director of finance/chief financial officer started his utility accounting career at Bessemer, AL, Utilities. He went on to positions at Tullahoma, TN, UB and TVA before joining Murfreesboro ED in 1990.
“We have a good group of employees who believe in the mission of public power,” said Mynatt, who earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. “They remain dedicated to doing an outstanding job for the people of Murfreesboro and to making sure our customers see no difference in service through this transition period. I am honored to be selected to lead such a great group.”
