MEMBER RELATIONS SPECIALIST - Member Relations Specialist is a new position at Duck River Electric Membership Corp. (DREMC), headquartered in Shelbyville, TN. DREMC serves more than 71,800 cooperative member-owners in a 16-county service area with district offices in Manchester, Columbia, Lewisburg, Shelbyville and Decherd and area offices in Lynchburg, Sewanee and Chapel Hill, TN. The member relations specialist will work with a veteran Member Services staff involved in all aspects of marketing existing services and new programs. This includes communicating with members via print, radio, television, online and through mobile apps; surveying and segmenting the membership to develop targeted marketing messages, expanding brand awareness through Touchstone Energy, promoting unique DREMC events and offerings and working to provide community services that affect quality of life. Program management/support and organizational skills are needed, in addition to the talent for visualizing and executing new projects and product rollouts. Successful candidate will have the ability to work with inter-departmental teams on important deployments, advising on communications and marketing, and measuring reception/performance. A high level of technology proficiency is required, including expertise with word processing, graphics (Quark Xpress and InDesign) and online publishing software. Basic knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint is needed. Experience in photography, videography, digital editing and presentations would be a plus. Position requires an undergraduate degree in communications/marketing or a related field with at least two years of experience in publications, broadcasting or commercial-institutional internet and social media. Must be a proficient writer and able to use this skill to support various programs, campaigns and projects in multiple external and internal communication venues. Knowledge of the media cycle (print, broadcast and online) and media resources is necessary. The Member Relations Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment and deal with an exciting range of campaigns aimed at broadening awareness of energy issues, energy efficiency and DREMC services/programs. PRESIDENT/CEO - North Alabama Industrial Development Association is a 65-year-old non-profit 501(c)(6) organization with offices in Decatur, AL. The organization is directed by a board of directors made up of representatives of the electric power distributors in the thirteen county North Alabama region and representatives of TVA. The purpose of the organization is to promote North Alabama as a location for new industry and economic growth.

NATURE OF JOB: To guide the mission of the organization through development of broad team goals and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS: College degree, 10 years experience including program management in economic development.

SPECIFIC DUTIES: To promote good communications with NAIDA Board of Directors by personal visits, telephone contacts and written correspondence. This communication will assist the President/CEO in setting goals and objectives.

CONTROLLER- Morristown, TN, Utilities Commission seeks a Controller.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ensures that all financial policies and internal controls are implemented and maintained. Provides for the protection of assets, directs the preparation and interpretation of financial reports and provides guidance to management.

SUMMARY DESCSRIPTION OF DUTIES: 1. Implement and monitor the internal controls for the financial systems of the Commission to ensure that they are economical, modern, and meet statutory requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations 2. Provide and interpret cost information for management’s use in directing and controlling the Commission 3. Prepare capital and operating budgets and monitor spending of budget vs actual from a cash standpoint. 4. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports 5. Assist with management of all system debt 6. Review monthly accounting activities for accuracy and completeness 7. Assist with billing and rate analysis 8. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MBA in Business Administration, Accounting or related field. Five years of experience in accounting required. CPA preferred. Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures. Ability to develop, analyze and interpret accounting information in the forms of cost and budget. The candidate should be knowledgeable in payroll, costing, inventory control, internal-control techniques, financial policies and procedures and business management.

Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in all phases of constructing, operating and maintaining both underground and overhead high-voltage distribution systems. Ability to operate bucket trucks, trenchers, and other equipment used in electrical distribution is a must. This position requires the ability to climb poles, perform work from heights, a high-school diploma, completion of a four-year apprenticeship program, a Class A Tennessee Commercial Drivers License, and current CPR/First Aid certification. CITY OF MADISONVILLE, KY, ELECTRIC SUPERINTENDENT - EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Basic requirements of this position include: • Bachelor’s degree and 12-15 years of increasingly responsible experience in the electric-utility industry, including five years of municipality experience; 10 years of supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job duties. • Past experience should include power-system planning, engineering and design, transformer banking, system-load analysis, budget preparation and project management; extensive knowledge of SCADA technology. • Experience with overhead/underground distribution systems and related planning software • Thorough knowledge of and experience in design and repair or rehab of electric substation, distribution, and relay-control systems • Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Experience in electric rate schedules and rate setting/forecasting • Proficient computer skills including MS-Excel & Word • A commitment to teamwork within a municipal environment; proactive orientation that will keep city well-positioned in a dynamic industry environment.

PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Experience with negotiating, contracting and the administration of power-supply related contracts.

DESIRED: Valid Kentucky Certificate of Registration as an Electrical Engineer.
