Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in all phases of operating and maintaining both underground and overhead high-voltage distribution systems. Ability to operate bucket trucks, trenchers, and other equipment used in electrical distribution is a must. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - Clinton (TN) Utilities Board (CUB), widely recognized throughout the seven-state TVA region as a leader in the use of cutting-edge technologies, seeks one (1) or more highly motivated individuals to join our innovative team. This position performs all types of work relative to the engineering of overhead and underground distribution lines serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers, including necessary technical support for field operations. This is an excellent career opportunity for candidates who meet the job requirements at either of the following education and skill levels:

Entry Level: BS degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university with an emphasis in power systems. Must have (or be able to obtain within six (6) months) an Engineering Intern Certification and possess superior analytical skills together with strong written and oral communication techniques. Candidates must be accomplished in basic computer skills and common software applications. Previous experience in the electric-utility industry will be considered a plus. Must have and maintain a valid Tennessee driver's license.

Professional Level: In addition to the required entry-level education and skills listed above, CUB seeks an individual with a well-rounded professional background in the electric-utility industry. Must have 5-plus years of progressive experience within the power distribution industry and possess a Professional Engineering license in the state of TN. Must be technically competent in all aspects of electrical engineering as related to power distribution and the electric utility industry. Must have proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently. Experience within any of the following areas will be considered a plus: SCADA, AMI, AutoCAD, GIS, system modeling and analysis, electric substations, metering, relay and protective device coordination and programming, fiber optics and communications, computer networking and databases.
