SENIOR BI/BW DEVELOPER (1) - Full-time position at Huntsville, AL, Utilities. Provides functional, technical and architectural leadership in improving and evaluating design of SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Business Objects (BO) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with internal functional and development teams, business managers and analysts to understand, prioritize and develop solutions to meet their reporting needs while ensuring any changes to the technical landscape conform to enterprise architectural standards.

Requires the following: BS in computer information systems or related field, 5 years experience architecting, developing, and implementing SAP BW business reporting/systems solutions; strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts and methodologies; ability to gather business requirements and translate to technical requirements and solution design, experience in leading at least one full-lifecycle BI and Data Warehousing project implementation, strong understanding of and with at least one front-end reporting and analytical tool (Business Objects Info View/Webi desired), advanced knowledge of configuring BW data objects, advanced knowledge of BW Extractors from SAP, working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies, and tables; expertise in developing BEX queries, advanced knowledge of BOBJ tools such as Universes/InfoView/Webi with good knowledge of Chrystal reports, strong knowledge of SAP end-to-end data flows and interactions between one SAP module and another, ability to work independently and in teams and to facilitate a cooperative and collaborative work environment, communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to translate technical terminology to non-technical employees. Must also be available for on-call and possess good computer hardware and software skills (including MSOffice products).

Desire the following: Knowledge of AP ISU for Utilities Solution, experience with BW system upgrades, BW integration w/SAP Portals/NetWeaver, ABAP custom-development skills, Web Services development with BW, experience with other BI, DW, ETL and OLAP technologies and experience in SAP BO 4.0.

Position Overview: Assist the department head in managing and mentoring team members, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets and ensuring the delivery of quality work products. Develop engineering drawings and specifications for projects within the Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution department. Produce detailed electrical designs for lighting, grounding, control schematics and power plans complete with equipment layouts, design calculations and equipment coordination. Warren RECC, headquartered in Bowling Green, KY, serves over 61,000 electric consumers in eight counties in south central Kentucky.
