TVPPA has released its annual Salary Survey, to which member utilities have until July 23 to respond.

TVPPA Member Services Manager Kari Crouse said the 2018 survey went out July 9. This is the third straight year that TVPPA is teaming with Winston Tan of InTandem to produce the Salary Survey.

The aim of the survey, Crouse said, is to put the best possible salary and benefit data into the hands of participating TVPPA-member CEOs/managers.

“Both data submissions and final results are now on spreadsheets and very secure,” Crouse said. “Anonymity is key;  Winston [Tan] is the only person involved with the survey who can identify information specific to a particular utility.”

Crouse said survey results should be available to participating TVPPA-member utilities in October. She added that participation has been trending higher in recent years, and anticipates that more than 100 TVPPA-member utilities will participate.

“We’ve gotten very good feedback on the changes we’ve made to the survey since we contracted with Winston,” said Crouse, who cited a more user-friendly spreadsheet and filters that allow TVPPA-member CEOs/managers to better match their utilities’ positions to the survey’s job descriptions.
