Did you know that in addition to our Lineman Apprentice Program and other technical programs for lineworkers, TVPPA’s Education & Training (E&T) team offers a series of certificate programs that touch on every aspect of the electric power distribution business?

There’s a certificate course for anyone hoping to learn new skills and advance their careers at their local power company. As TVPPA members, you and your staff have access to 16 different certificate programs to help to help accelerate your careers. From our extensive hands-on five-phase Advanced Lineworker certification program to a series of certificate programs including Certified Power Executive and Advanced Certified Power Executive, Certified Safety Coordinator, Certificate of Customer Service, Utility Human Resources Certification, Utilities Purchasing & Materials Management Certification, plus many more, we offer classes designed for employees at all levels and all departments of your organization.

TVPPA E&T also offers four technical programs including Lineworker Apprentice, Protective RelayingSubstation Maintenance and Electrical Metering through a Distance Learning program. Hands-on lab classes are available at our regional training hubs located throughout the Valley to supplement distance learning or may be scheduled in house at your own facilities. All courses cover mathematics, electrical theory and fundamentals of alternating current, and other critical technical topics.
