The Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 rodeo. Because of ongoing uncertainty related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the board agreed they could not protect participants nor attendees from the potential spread of the virus. With consideration for the health and safety of competitors, judges, vendors and spectators a top priority, canceling this year’s event proved necessary.

The two-day competition was scheduled to take place June 26-27 in Jackson, Tenn.

“We plan to resume the event in 2021 and look forward to seeing everyone then as we celebrate excellence in linework in the Tennessee Valley,” said Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo board member and TVPPA executive vice president of member services & strategic relations, Danette Scudder.
