Then-TVPPA Chairman Greg Williams, left, accepts the 2018 Richard C. Crawford Distinguished Service Award from TVPPA President/CEO Doug Peters.

TVPPA is taking nominations for its highest individual honor, Richard C. Crawford Distinguished Service Award.

Nomination forms were sent to district chairs March 6. Nominations are traditionally made by districts, though nominations from TVPPA-member utilities and individuals are also welcome.

Nominations should be conveyed to TVPPA Member Services Manager Kari Crouse (kcrouse@tvppa.com) by no later than April 8. Once the nomination window has closed, the 2019 Crawford DSA recipient will be selected by a committee comprised of individuals recommended by the TVPPA board’s executive committee and confirmed by the full board.

The Crawford DSA honors an active TVPPA-member system manager/CEO who has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership in TVPPA and an exceptional commitment to serving the Association. Last year’s honor went to outgoing TVPPA Chairman Greg Williams of Appalachian EC, New Market, Tenn.

TVPPA first presented the DSA in 1980. When Crawford, then TVPPA’s president/CEO, retired in 2004, the board of directors honored him by attaching his name to the award.
