Distributors Insurance Corporation (DIC), TVPPA’s wholly owned subsidiary, announced today utilities that earned the honor of qualifying for DIC’s Safety Recognition Program.
To be eligible, a DIC-insured utility must have had no workers’ compensation claims during the previous calendar year. In an industry with many inherent risks and hazards, significant effort, intentional action and clear focus on safety are required to reach this achievement. Recipients of this honor for the 2019 calendar year include:

- Bristol Tennessee Essential Services
- Dyersburg Electric System
- Erwin Energy Authority
- Gallatin Department of Electricity
- Hopkinsville Electric System
- Mt. Pleasant Power System
- Paducah Power System
- Ripley Power & Light
- Sparta Electric & Water
Organizations recognized for this accomplishment are eligible for reimbursement of up to $2000 to $3000 for safety equipment or safety-related programs.
