POSITION: Marketing and Communications Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Vice President, Communications & Marketing and provides key support in implementation of communications and marketing strategic action plans. This position manages the development and delivery of the TVPPA membership directory, serves as brand manager, develops and designs marketing materials and serves as the subject matter expert for the SalesForce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the Vice President, Communications & Marketing in implementation of marketing and communications strategy action items
- Serves as subject matter expert on TVPPA brand and oversees compliance with brand guidelines
- Designs and produces marketing assets for TVPPA marketing, communications toolkits and internal client projects
- Provides general marketing support as requested to help generate leads for TVPPA products and services to include developing marketing blasts through the electronic communications platforms, tracking responses and providing market information, and designing and creating marketing items such as product brochures, branded items for conferences and gifts, or signage
- Manages the Membership Directory process for both the hard copy and the electronic app to include development, proofing, printing and delivery of the directory
- Maintains responsibility for the maintenance of the membership directory app, SalesForce CRM integration and future enhancements of the membership directory app
- Manages TVPPA house ads, outside advertiser approval and distribution functions with publisher of TVPPA Membership Directory and TVPPA Magazine
- Works collaboratively with the Communications team on multimedia communications and visual storytelling for both electronic and printed publications
- Serves as website subject matter expert and administrator for tvppa.com; will play an integral role in the redevelopment of the site, and provides support in developing content, making layout changes and updates to the TVPPA website, and ensuring content is updated as needed to remain current
- Manages relationships with multiple website hosting vendors, making updates to website in house when possible
- Provides support and research for TVPPA Communications Advisory Group, attends meetings as requested
- Drafts content as requested for use on tvppa.com and in all TVPPA publications and electronic newsletters
- Collaborates with and supports TVPPA’s Digital Marketing Specialist with content and strategies for leveraging TVPPA’s brand and targeting new audiences with products and services in accordance with TVPPA’s Member Services and Communications & Marketing goals
- Provides general marketing support as requested to help generate leads for TVPPA products and services to include developing marketing blasts through the electronic communications platforms, tracking responses and providing market information, and designing and creating marketing items such as product brochures, branded items for conferences and gifts, or signage
- Updates and maintains a master list of TVPPA Members, Associate and Affiliate Members, vendors and other organizations and individuals conducting business with TVPPA and its affiliates
- Serves as the central point of contact and coordinator of all internal and external member contact and communication related data requests, updates data in appropriate databases and follows up with members as needed to ensure timely responses
- Serves as TVPPA’s subject matter expert and point of contact for TVPPA database administration with a significant focus on updating information in the SalesForce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and handles system updates as required by SalesForce
- Serves as the Salesforce CRM administrator, generating reports for TVPPA staff when requested
- Attends all conferences and meetings to provide support and to represent TVPPA
- As needed, supports Conferences team by introducing breakout session speakers at shows, troubleshooting for attendees, and registering attendees at the registration desk
- Owns TVPPA public calendars and distribution lists and makes changes and updates as they are needed
- Performs other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related business field
- Prior experience in marketing, website maintenance and database management
- Knowledge of graphic design for website, print and other marketing materials
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and related applications, Salesforce or similar CRM software
