Over the weekend, lineworkers from across the Tennessee Valley competed against some of the best lineworkers from around the world at the International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo in Overland Park, Kan.
The event was held October 16-19 at the Overland Park Convention Center and in Bonner Springs, Kan. at the National Agriculture Center & Hall of Fame. A total of 227 teams competed, and several TVPPA members brought home awards.
Huntsville Utilities Team 420 (Cole Border, Colby Lipham, and Adam Thomas) won 2nd place in the Journeyman Mystery Event #2, Cutout Replacement 4kV.
Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) Team 310 (Nolan Farris, Billy Jack Alexander, and Adam Montgomery) won 4th place in the Journeyman “Best of the Best” category. Team 310 also brought home 2nd in the Journeyman REA Division across all competing cooperatives. Additionally, MTE Team 605 (Greg Allison, Keith Davenport, and Michael Diggs) placed 4th in the Journeyman Seniors Division.
