TVPPA’s Communications Advisory Group, along with our in-house Communications & Marketing team, has just launched a Local Power Advantage toolkit. This all-new toolkit is a set of year round resources for use in communicating the value of being part of a locally owned power community. Whether your organization is celebrating October’s Public Power Week or National Co-op Month, or you’re looking for some additional tools for demonstrating the value your not-for-profit local power company brings to the people and communities it serves, this toolkit offers the resources you need.

Available Local Power Advantage tools include:

  • talking points,
  • social media images and messages,
  • digital display ads,
  • full- and half-page magazine advertisements, and
  • copy for recording your own radio spots or on-hold messages.

How to Find Our Toolkits

The Local Power Advantage Toolkit can be found alongside the Supply Chain and Power Restoration toolkits on the member section of our website. To access these toolkits, visit tvppa.com, use the member login link in the upper right of the home screen to access the member menu, and click on Communication Tools. Bookmark this page for easy access or download the content for future use, but be sure to revisit the page in the future for updated content and additional toolkits.

Crisis Communications Toolkit Coming Soon!

We are preparing a Crisis Communications Toolkit, which will be added to our online resources in October. This set of resources will be the final of four toolkits added to the Communication Tools page this year.

TVPPA staff members are available to answer questions and provide assistance with these resources. For assistance, please email our team at communications@tvppa.com or call 423-756-6511. To discuss current and future toolkit needs, please contact CAG Chair Marlin Williams or TVPPA Vice President of Communications & Marketing Nathalie Strickland.
