TVPPA, Members Advocate for Interests of the Valley in Washington, D.C.

On Monday, July 18, TVPPA, our members and partners from Tennessee Municipal Electric Membership Association (TMEPA) and Meguire Whitney traveled to Washington, D.C. for our 5th annual Valley Rally.

We spent three days in our nation’s capital advocating for the interests of our local power company members and their ratepayers. Valley Rally representatives met with members of Congress and their staff from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. We discussed critical topics such as supply chain challenges, clean energy, broadband expansion and other issues that will impact the safety and reliability of electricity and shape the quality of life for Valley residents.
