Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) and Nashville Electric Service (NES) recently earned their 2024 Smart Energy Provider (SEP) designations from the American Public Power Association (APPA).
APPA’s SEP program recognizes utilities for demonstrating a commitment to and accomplishment in smart energy program planning, energy efficiency, and distributed energy resources, environmental and sustainability programs, and communication and customer experience.
Additionally, KUB received a Public Power Customer Satisfaction Award from APPA for providing excellent service to their community.
The award is the result of receiving high marks from customers in the areas of:
• Customer service,
• Field personnel,
• Communication,
• Reliability,
• Value,
• Outage response,
• Innovation, and
• Overall satisfaction.
The designations and awards were announced during APPA’s Customer Connections Conference in Louisville, Ky., held October 27-30. Congratulations to KUB and NES on these honors and their commitment to excellence.
