Celebrate Public Power Week and Co-Op Month with TVPPA Toolkits
With Public Power Week and National Co-op Month approaching, October gives TVPPA members a timely opportunity to highlight the value of locally owned power and the important role local power companies play in the communities they serve.
Public Power Week will be celebrated Oct. 4–10, 2026, while electric cooperatives will celebrate National Co-op Month throughout October. TVPPA is proud to celebrate alongside our members and recognizes the employees across the Tennessee Valley whose work strengthens their communities every day.
To support member outreach, TVPPA’s Communications Advisory Group has developed resources that can help local power companies share their stories with customers, members, and communities.
The Local Power Advantage Toolkit includes customizable materials designed to help LPCs demonstrate the value locally owned utilities bring to the people and communities they serve.
The Our Public Power Model Toolkit helps members build understanding of the Tennessee Valley’s unique public power model, the partnership between TVA and local power companies, and the life-enhancing benefits that partnership provides across the Valley.
Both toolkits include ready-to-use resources that can be customized with an LPC’s logo and branding. While Public Power Week and Co-op Month provide a natural opportunity to put the materials to work, the resources are designed to help members tell their local power story throughout the year.
