Research & Development Committee Now Accepting Project Proposals for Fiscal Year 2026
TVPPA's Research & Development Committee, in partnership with TVA, invites you to submit R&D project proposals to study industry issues, address technology gaps, and demonstrate new technology.
Continued input, engagement, and collaboration from all local power companies (LPCs) is important to maximize the value of Valley-wide research and development investments and to meet the needs of each LPC.
To best serve the customers of the Tennessee Valley region, TVA invests in strategic research and development activities. These R&D investments go beyond generation, transmission, and environmental stewardship activities – TVA also invests in research and development projects that support LPCs. Working closely with the TVPPA R&D Committee and LPC R&D Advisors, TVA prioritizes, funds, and executes a diverse portfolio of projects to help inform LPCs, close technology gaps, and advance the collective capabilities within the Valley.
TVA and TVPPA are accepting ideas or proposals to be under consideration in the R&D Prioritization for fiscal year 2026. These proposals may receive funding if selected. All submissions must be received by the deadline below to be under consideration.

The deadline for submitting an R&D Proposal form for fiscal year 2026 is Friday, Sept. 12, 2025. Final selections will be made in November 2025.
