TVPPA Education & Training Announces New Strategy Execution Class
Most strategies don’t fail in the boardroom; they fail in execution. Strategy Execution, a new two-day, interactive course from TVPPA Education & Training, is designed to help public power leaders and aspiring leaders bridge the gap between strategic plans and operational results.
Led by Major General Vinny Boles, USA (Ret.), and Wes Kelley, CEO of Huntsville Utilities, the course draws on decades of executive leadership in both public power and military logistics to examine why execution stalls and what leaders can do about it. Participants will work directly with their own organization’s strategy, presenting it and stress-testing it against financial and stakeholder realities.
This course provides a great first step for Certified Power Executive graduates who wish to begin their Advanced CPE. It is also open to current AdvCPE students and AdvCPE graduates.
Participants will learn to:
- Assess their organization’s current strategy and identify gaps between strategic intent and execution.
- Identify the financial, workforce and stakeholder factors that can drive—or hinder—successful strategy execution.
- Apply people-centered leadership practices that turn strategic plans into day-to-day organizational action.
- Define clear measures of success and develop a personal action plan for improving strategy execution.
Strategy Execution will be held on October 13-14 at TVPPA in Chattanooga, Tenn.
