TVPPA Members Earn 2026 Smart Energy Provider Designations from APPA
The American Public Power Association’s (APPA) Smart Energy Provider (SEP) program recognizes utilities for demonstrating a commitment to and accomplishment in smart energy program planning, energy efficiency, and distributed energy resources, environmental and sustainability programs, and communication and customer experience.
SEP designations last for three years, starting on December 1 of the designation year to November 30 three years later. Of the 59 public power utilities across the country designated this year, three were TVPPA members. Congratulations to the following TVPPA members:

- Huntsville Utilities, Ala.
