Training & Development Specialist
Job Summary
The Training & Development Specialist promotes a safety-first culture by supporting the development, delivery, and tracking of safety and compliance training for MTE. This role ensures all required safety, regulatory, and technical training is completed accurately and on time, and ensures that all employees are operating within MTE, local, state, and federal safety standards.

Job Requirements:
- Encompass the three virtues of the Ideal Team Player (Humble, Hungry, and People Smart).
- Four-year degree from an accredited college in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Safety Management, or a related field is required. A Journeyman Lineman certificate and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a utility may be considered in lieu of college degree.
- Working knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance in utility or industrial environments.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS); ability to develop curriculum and courses, manage content, users, and reporting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with field and office personnel as well as leadership.
- Experience developing and delivering technical or safety training is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification is preferred.
- Certified Loss Control Professional (CLCP) certification enrollment is required as soon as a new class is available.
