Vice President of Engineering

Job Summary

Gibson Electric Membership Corporation has a Vice President of Engineering position now open for our Trenton Member Service Center located at 1207 S. College St., Trenton, TN.

This position manages Gibson EMC’s planning and engineering activities for the electric and fiber networks.

Job Description

Qualified applicants must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Professional Engineers License in Tennessee or Kentucky
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Five years of supervisory/management experience
• Five years of experience in the electrical distribution field 
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, transmission, and substation system design and operations
• Knowledge of fiber-based communications networks
• Knowledge of electric metering systems
• Knowledge of smart grid/SCADA /demand response systems
