TVPPA opened nominations for its 2024 Richard C. Crawford Distinguished Service Award (DSA) today.
Given in recognition of truly exceptional service, the award recognizes the outstanding leadership and extraordinary service commitment to TVPPA and its member systems by a general manager or CEO of a TVPPA member system. The award remains one of the most prestigious honors that the Tennessee Valley’s public power community can bestow upon one of their colleagues.
The 2024 award will be presented at TVPPA’s Annual Conference on May 21.
TVPPA invites you to submit nominations to the chair of your district association using this form. As you consider deserving nominees, please use the following guidelines to inform your nomination:
  • While any individual member system may submit a nomination, the preferred method is for nominations to be coordinated through the district associations;
  • A district may nominate someone from another district;
  • Judging criteria are limited to the information included on the nomination form, so please make your submission as comprehensive as possible;
  • Special emphasis should be placed on the nominee’s contributions to TVPPA.

If you have a suggestion for a nominee please contact your district chair to make your suggestion and provide the details requested on the nomination form. District chairs must submit the nominations from their district to TVPPA EVP & Chief Strategy Officer Danette Scudder by March 29, 2024.

A committee appointed by the TVPPA Board ultimately selects the DSA recipient from nominations received.

Please consider nominating a deserving, active TVPPA general manager or CEO to recognize their contributions to the Valley’s continued success.
